ambidextrous

I know that being ambidextrous means being able to use both hands. Is there a name for using both feet as well?

amandla!

Tim's taking up the cause for black South Africans. Amandla means 'power' in Xhosa and Zulu. Winnie would be proud.

gran and grand-da

Neville and Jenny take Tim (and me) on an outing every day. He falls asleep in his pram or car seat and never knows where he'll wake up. Today, we drove up to Wimbledon Common, then walked down to Queensmere Pond.

hand to foot

Tim has started to grasp things. He doesn't reach for anything yet, but when something brushes his hand, he takes hold of it. Today he held his foot for the first time and I happened to catch it on camera. It's a little blurred. We think he laughed today as well but are hesitant to make that a definite sighting.

happy

Paul’s parents have been here for ten days. We’ve been on outings almost every day, so I haven’t posted anything. They’ve gone to Norfolk to visit some friends for three days. They will be with use until 11 April. Tim’s been spoiled for attention. He’s okay today, but I think that’s because I took him to a baby massage class with the other mothers from our prenatal classes, so he got lots of attention again. I expect to se the signs of withdrawal show up any time now. Paul’s got to sort out our recent photos with them, and I’ll probably post them after they leave. This video is from before Neville and Jenny arrived. He’s already grown and changed noticeably.
