snowman

When Paul shovels snow in the morning before leaving for work, Timothy likes to 'help.'

tim's first snowman

We've had snow around since October, but this week's snow is the first snow that's been any good for building snowmen (or throwing snowballs). Tim wasn't interested in making the snowman, but he knew what it was as soon as I put on the second layer. He wanted to eat the nose and throw the eyes into the road. The skies were so clear the second day in the life of this snowman that he melted into a mound of ugly that Tim enjoyed kicking and hitting with a trekking pole.

hi

timothy says 'hi'

Tim is spending more and more time coloring. He likes both markers and chalk best, but will use crayons on occasion. Up until recently, I've had to take crayons away from him after only a few minutes of use because he was eating them, so he's not used to having them readily available. He still likes to have a nibble every now and then. If you look closely, you can see blue chalk on his forehead and nose.

egg

Timothy loves to cook scrambled eggs. I just wish he still loved to eat them. I think Mom, when we were living there, was the first to show Timothy how an egg out of the fridge can turn into a meal. He now cracks the egg. So far he hasn't cracked it hard enough to open the egg, which is fine with me as it saves on messes. He stirs it with a fork, making sure to break the yoke. He grinds salt and pepper into it. This part is heavily supervized as he hasn't learned the rule that 'less is more' with some spices. He uses the spatula to stir the egg once it's in the pan and then he loses interest and wants to dip his fingers in the sugar bowl.
